We are a community of students at MacEwan University who gather to learn about cybersecurity and practice our ethical hacking skills.

Some of us aim to become professionals in the field, while others participate for fun.

We practice our skills in an ethical and legal manner - we never attack a system without the proper authorization to do so. One of our favourite ways to practice is through capture-the-flag (CTF) hacking competitions. This year MacEwan University was ranked 4th in the National Cyber League's Spring Cyber Power Rankings, and our club placed 1st at BSides Calgary CTF!

We also host beginner-friendly CTF workshops where our members solve and explain cybersecurity challenges live, so beginners can learn without being overwhelmed with choices. Be sure to join our Discord server if you want to be among the first to hear about any events we host or attend, which will also be listed on Student Groups Connect.
